Fitness Trackers

The fitness tracker keeps a record of the number of steps you walk, distance you travelled and the level of activity, and also adds the heart rate to this calculation.

Both models can be connected to a mobile training app called Polar Beat. The app is available on both iOS and Android phones and allows your smartphone to do the tracking. By pairing the device with the app, it tells much more about our physical health and how much we have improved overtime (in a day, a month, etc).

The products contains a sensor and transmitter on the belt with an adjustable strap that is worn around the chest area. It gives an accurate heart rate measurement.

As they work with a watch battery, you do not need to charge them frequently and they are replaceable. Both for H7 and H10, you can choose from a wide range of sizes available on Amazon.

Polar H10 is the upgraded and improved version of Polar H7. Being the later version, it has a lot of added features which the former one does not have.

Differences between Polar H10 vs Polar H7 are explained below

Although both the models works the same way, Polar H10 has much more comfortable straps which rest easily around the chest.

The new strap and pod are interchangeable with the older ones. Nevertheless, the new ones are significantly different from them considering the comfort level it provides.

Unlike Polar H10, H7 has 50 more circular rubber dots at the back allowing the strap handle to sweat better and rest better.

Like Polar H7, H10 also uses Bluetooth Smart technology to function, and offers 5kHz data transmission limit along with a third party app integration. The only difference is that you have to make sure that your smartwatch is compatible with the H10 model.

Polar H7 is compatible with devices like iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPod Touch (5th generation), iPad (3rd and 4th generation), iPad Mini and iPod Nano (7th generation).

Polar H10 is compatible with GoPro. Just place the heart rate sensor to GoPro Hero 5 compatibility camera and you will get the heart rate in the recorded video. It also works well with iPhone 4s or later models, and Android mobile devices with Bluetooth 4.0, 4.3 or later versions.

Polar H10 works for a longer duration than H7 (between charges). H7 can be used upto 200 hours between charges. On the other hand, H10 allows 400 hours of operating time on a user replaceable battery.

Polar H10 can store one whole training session in the storage space, thanks to the built-in memory system. So you do not have to wear the smartwatch during the workout session. This built-in memory is not available in H7.

The new measuring algorithm in the H10 model offers a more manageable data tracking. The updated hardware is also very impressive as it provides much more accurate and precise information related to your fitness and heart rate.

To sum up all the above information, I would say that the two models differ from each other at significant levels, however, some things are still the same.
